Welcome to the official blog about Loreen Leedy books. Loreen has over 40 published picture books with math, science, social studies, and language arts content. Her books have received honors such as: American Library Association notable; Chicago Library Best of the Best; Florida Book Award meda; Parents' Choice award; Outstanding Trade Book by the National Science Teachers Association; numerous book club selections; and many starred reviews over the years.

Her newest picture book with co-author Andrew Schuerger is Amazing Plant Powers: How Plants Fly, Fight, Hide, Hunt, & Change the World, which shows a wide variety of plant adaptations using colorful photographs and illustrations. School Library Journal says the book is "A great supplement to plant units, and a welcome introduction to informational texts."

Loreen is now making classroom resources such as math puzzles, symmetry activities, printable books for kids to illustrate, nonfiction writing crafts, clip art for teachers, FREE activities to go with her books, and much more.
