Because TeachersPayTeachers has reached 100,000 followers on Facebook, they've decided to have a sitewide 10% sale until midnight on Sunday, October 13. And everything in my shop is 20% off, so that adds up to a big discount. My sale actually runs through Monday the 14th to give my followers some extra time. Click here to visit my shop.
My brand new Radiant Rainbow Brushes, Pencils, Clouds, Drops, and Borders clip art graphics are included in the sale.
There are only a few hours left in the Jack & the Hungry Giant book giveaway on the Bunting, Books, & Bainbridge blog, so it's enter now or never!
The book giveaway on Goodreads runs until the end of October and there are 5 copies of Jack to win there.
Good luck and happy shopping!

Apples and Acorns and Leaves, Oh My! {New Clip Art Sets for Autumn}
I've been having fun lately designing clip art sets for teachers to use in classroom materials such as worksheets, journal covers, posters, and so on. You can also use them for educational products for sale with no additional license. Since fall and back to school isn't that far away, how about some apples?
This set has an apple tree with and without apples, various sizes of apples, bitten apples, apple cores, and seeds, 13 border options and 9 page elements, plus 7 coordinating digital papers (59 files in all). All black line art is included, so you can save on printer ink as needed. There is a FREE sample in the Preview, which can be downloaded from this page in my TeachersPayTeachers shop. Here is a sample book or journal cover that's easy to make with this set:
Another autumn option is my Acorns and Oak Leaves set:
It has 6 digital papers, 8 borders, 16 Frames, 11 Headers, 25 Large Leaves and Acorns, and 14 Circles and Rectangles to mix and match. Here is the link to the Preview, which contains a sample to try. Here are three of the included files, a page topper, a medium frame, and a circular frame:
There are several other sets, including Happy Face Kids and Radiant Rainbow Frames, so to check out all my clip art sets, click on this link.
Thanks for reading...hope your summer is going well!

Making Rainbows
I've spent several days immersed in all the colors of the rainbow...how great is that? Two of my nieces were over here a few days ago and I mentioned that one of my motivations for becoming an artist was to be able to play with color all day long! The reason for the rainbow colors was to make digital frames in variety of shapes and sizes. But why use words when a picture can show so much? Presenting my Radiant Rainbow Frames:
Here's a close-up:
As always, making something new is a learning experience, and some of these had to be redone several times. Anyway, there are 36 Rectangle, Circle, Oval, Curvy, and Star frames in 2 styles (transparent or filled with white) for 72 total. They are for personal or commercial educational use. If you need some eye-catching clip art to make posters, book covers, signs, scrapbook pages, or whatever else, this packet might be perfect! There's a free sample in the Preview in my TPT shop.
Thanks for looking!

Let's Write: Pencil and Paper Characters
I just finished another clip art set for teachers, authors, scrapbookers…whoever! This group can be used on worksheets, mini-books, posters, writing workshop materials, cards, and anything else that needs a whimsical writing theme. There's a FREE sample in the Preview to try out on my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. The pencil character in this clip art group is similar to one from Look at My Book: How Kids Can Write and Illustrate Terrific Books. There is a link to a free writing process poster on that page of my web site, by the way.
As you can see from the picture, each image comes in color, grayscale, and black line art, depending on the end usage. For example, nobody wants to print color images on a zillion worksheets, but probably would for a poster. The line art ones are good for coloring pages.
I want to make related set of borders…maybe with scribbly doodles all around.

C'mon, get hoppy! My Frogs 'n' Flowers Clip Art collection
It has been fun making clip art, something I hadn't considered doing during my first couple of decades as a children's book illustrator. But in this digital age it suddenly seemed like an interesting idea. After thinking about it for awhile, I decided to have a very liberal usage policy while retaining the copyright. So, if teachers want to make classroom materials from these images and sell them, for example, that's fine with me. Frogs 'n' Flowers is posted on my store at Teachers Pay Teachers, a site for lesson plans and other teaching resources. A free sample of a border design is included in the Preview file, see close up below:
I've made several other free activities, printables, and coloring pages that are also on my store. So if you're interested if hearing about future offerings, please click on the "follow me" link when you get there.
In reading the TPT forums, it appears that some teachers like to have black and white options to save on printer ink. It often looks better to do a custom conversion, rather than just print a color image in black. So, here are the line art images in the Frogs 'n' Flowers set:
